Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities: • Designed and developed complex mechanical and electromechanical systems across the full product lifecycle (concept to production), covering structural, thermal, and dynamic requirements. • Created advanced CAD assemblies and GD&T-compliant manufacturing drawings (ASME Y14.5), including full BOM management and revision control for defense-grade systems. • Performed multi-domain FEA (static, modal, thermal, fatigue) using ANSYS and SolidWorks/Creo Simulation to validate and optimize structural performance under operational and MIL-STD load conditions. • Applied DFM/DFA/DFAM principles to improve manufacturability, reduce production rework, and streamline assembly complexity on multi-component defense platforms. • Led prototyping, testing, and iterative validation campaigns; collaborated with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, QA, and systems engineering) to ensure production readiness. • Served as a technical mentor and engineering reference for junior engineers and technicians, guiding mechanical design, CAD modeling, design validation, manufacturing practices, and engineering problem-solving throughout product development activities. • Managed engineering change processes (ECO/ECN), design reviews, and milestone tracking for multiple concurrent programs.
